Privacy

This page covers what kewlconsulting.com collects, why, for how long and who sees it. It covers this website only.

Updated : one phone number now serves Canada and the United States; the separate United States number is no longer in use, and a senior team member answers a project inquiry.

Cookies and other companies

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics that identify you. It loads nothing from another company’s servers: no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no session recorder. That is why you see no cookie banner. If we ever add visitor counts, we will use a cookieless tool and say so here.

What you send us

When you use the contact form, we receive the fields you fill in. We also receive the pages you visited here, the site that sent you and any campaign tags in the address. We use them to reply to you and to keep a record in our CRM. We do not sell or rent them, and we do not add you to a marketing list.

The form does not save messages on this server. They go to our mailbox and our CRM, and nowhere else. To have yours deleted from both, ask us.

How the reports and the form limit abuse

One page view in ten sends a speed report. It holds three timings, the page address without its query string, and a screen size: small, medium or large. It carries no identifier.

If your browser blocks something under our security policy, it may send a short report. We keep the page, the rule, what was blocked and the browser family. We strip query strings and record no IP address.

To limit how many messages and reports one connection can send, the site keeps a scrambled code of your network address for one hour. It keeps a code of each message for ten minutes, so a double click does not send it twice. Neither code can be turned back into what it was made from.

Client data

This page covers the website only. Data we handle in a consulting project is covered by the contract and the data terms we sign with you. Ask us for the current terms before you share anything.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. Laws that give this right include BC’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), Canada’s PIPEDA, the GDPR and some state laws in the United States.

Ask us through any channel under Contact. You do not need special wording. We reply within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
